The CPC exam is administered by the AAPC and costs $300 to take. Students of the AAPC exam prep courses can take the exam for a slightly smaller fee but the registration deadlines remain.To register for the CPC exam you have to be registered at least four weeks in advance. It is not even possible to register for an exam that is less than four weeks out.
The CPC exam is administered at various locations throughout each state. If you are looking to take the exam in a very specific location you may have to wait a long time however there are usually plenty of exam dates to choose from within a few hundred miles of you at any given time.
When you choose a location and date for your CPC exam you will also have to pay in advance. If you do not pay for your exam before the four week registration deadline then you will not get that registration date.
